Hi, I'm Matthew!
I am 16 years old and I have lived in Florida for the entire duration of my life. I am in love with film and plan to pursue directing in the future. My favorite film is Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me and my favorite director is the late David Lynch. If you want to take a look at my taste in film, follow me on Letterboxd at _cinematt! My favorite band of all time is Pink Floyd and my favorite band currently is Oasis, I love rock from the 60s-90s! I also love to travel as well as being a big foodie. I believe that if a location does not have good food, then it is not worth going to. My experience in Media Studies has been nothing but good. Although I only have been here for two classes, I find the way my teachers gives lectures to be mentally engaging and being able to spot some of my favorite films in the videos being presented is also great. What I hope to gain from the portfolio process is to gain a better understanding of how to document my experiences and to date back to this in the future when I create a blog of my own that is unrelated to the class. I am considering on creating a two-minute film opener for my final because it will benefit my future in film and help me get better at directing and filmmaking as a whole.
Two recent photos of my trip to Universal's Epic Universe (I love to travel as I said)! The pizza that is shown is from their sit down restaurant called Pizza Moon. The two pizzas shown are called the Pizza Lunare and tastes incredible! The crust is made from ube (even though you can't really taste it" and the topping are just outstanding! Definitely the best food I had from there. We also had a Pepperoni Pizza which just tastes like your standard pizza. As a huge foodie, this definitely satisfied me.
