Camera Work Reflection

    In my learning process for camera work, we went through a series of lessons that introduced us to different camera shots and angles. We completed station-based activities to get practice on what these shots/angles were, and eventually worked on a project where we would have to create these shots/angles on our own. Two major projects allowed us to showcase our skills in this topic: one required recreating the shots and angles in a video format, and the other involved capturing still images that recreated the same shots/angles. 

    While partaking in these projects, I did face one challenge when taking the still images, and that was creating my props and actually executing my story effectively. That was really the only challenge that I faced in the process of taking my pictures, but I also faced success in certain areas. More specifically, I faced success in creating the video format project, and that success was capturing my shots effectively and properly following the storyboard.

    In the process of completing this endeavor, I was educated on how to evoke emotion in inanimate objects as well as tackling camera set up issues, which I believe will aid me tremendously when filming my 2-minute film opener in the future. Additionally, if there was something I would do differently for future productions, I would for sure incorporate more shots that portray the emotions my project is trying to evoke so I would not have to stress so much on implementing those emotions on the inanimate object.
